- DRAFT-STATEMENT OF WORK The U.S. Coast Guard, Training Center Yorktown, VA intends to initiate a sources sought notice to gather market research to identify resources available to relocate the Coastal Patrol Boat (CPB) Motoren und Turnbinen Union (MTU) diesel engine and associated control system. This sources sought notice is for INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This is NOT a REQUEST for PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS, or BIDS. Responses to this request will not be returned. Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future and potential solicitation. It is the intent of the Contracting Office to use this information for market research purposes only. The Government WILL NOT pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of any such information. If a formal solicitation is released, it will be via the Federal Business Opportunities (http:www.fbo.gov). The U.S. Coast Guard, Training Center Yorktown, VA intends to procure the services and material to relocate the Coastal Patrol Boat (CPB) Motoren und Turnbinen Union (MTU) diesel engine and associated control system. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) considered for this effort is: 561210 FACILITIES SUPPORT SERVICES, the SBA business size is $38.5M. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement or catalog which shall be considered by the USCG TRACEN Yorktown office. Product and company information, and CAGE code must be submitted email to juan.a.soto@uscg.mil. Submission shall be received by 9:30 AM, Eastern Time, 12 January 2016 and shall not exceed one (1) 8-1/2 x 11 page for company information and one (1) 8-1/2 x 11 page for each individual item. This synopsis is only for market research purposes. This RFI does not constitute a request for proposal nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of response to this notice. All data received in response to this RFI marked or designated as corporate or proprietary will be fully protected from release outside the U.S. Government. Interested offerors shall address this requirement through this RFI in written format via email to juan.a.soto@uscg.mil.
