HSCG44-16-R-RFI0006 Disclaimer and Important Notes: This posting is a Request for Information (RFI) from interested vendors and is issued solely for informational and planning purposes. This posting is not a Request for Proposals or a Request for Quotations, and it is not considered to be a commitment by the Government to award a contract nor is the Government responsible for any costs incurred in furnishing information provided under this RFI. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this RFI or Government use of any information provided. Further, the Coast Guard is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response to this RFI. The Government reserves the right to use any information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate, including using technical information provided by respondents in any resultant solicitation. Responses will assist the Government in determining the availability of potential manufacturers in the market. At this time no solicitation exists; therefore, do Not Request a Copy of the Solicitation. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Requirement: The Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Command, Control, and Communications Engineering Center (C3CEN) Short Range Aids to Navigation (SRAN) has a requirement for manufacture of a coil assembly for use in the FA-232 Fog Horn. The U.S. Coast Guard C3CEN is looking for a company that can use the attached drawings to build a coil assembly for using the FA-232 Fog Horn. The drawings included are DWG S-7098-S, Sht. 1-4 of 4, DWG S-7097-S, and supplied photos of one of the coil assembly. The Government provided drawings are an attachment to this Request for Information. The requirement is to build to the Government Provided Drawings and delivery up to 25 units per year for a period of 10 years. The manufacture of the coil assembly will enable the USCG to keep the FA-232 Fog Horn in operation for the next 10 years. The requirements for the coil assembly for use in the FA-232 Fog Horn are detailed in the attached drawings (Attachment 1). The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 335999 All Other Miscellaneous Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing. Contractors doing business with the Government are required to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) database before they can be awarded a contract. Submission of Information: Interested parties are encouraged to submit a response which supports the company's claim that it presently has the technology, qualifications, experience, and capabilities to satisfy the requirements. Please provide information on the equipment that your company will utilize to manufacturer the coil assembly, proof that your company has the equipment necessary to produce the coil assembly and provide details that demonstrate similar items that your company has previously manufactured. Provide past performance information along with points of contact for verification of previous work completed. Any interested parties are requested to provide the following information: 1. Size of Business according to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 335999. 6. Description of your company's main products and services. 7. Identify your company's ownership structure with ownership status percentage. 8. Structure of Mother Corporation, joint ventures, partnerships or other relevant relations. 9. Describe your Environmental management system(s) 10. Describe your Quality Management systems (s) 11. Provide your number of years in the Market. 12. Describe your business continuity management. 13. Positive statement of your interest in this procurement as a prime contractor 14. Description of equipment and manufacture process proposed to meet this requirement. 15. Description of previous manufacturer of similar items, and past performance information to include points of contact information for verification. Provide information on prior Government and commercial purchases of the same type (pricing, performance, and customer satisfaction data) 16. Do you offer quantity or other discounts to your customers? 17. Provide details of how your company will be able to produce and deliver a quantity of (25) twenty-five coil assemblies per year, to include a time line and lead time for additional quantities. 18. What are your warranty terms, if any? 19. Provide information for any additional charges for special packing and packaging? 20. Do you have a commercial catalog for a related group of products or services?
