Description: HEALTH RESOURCE CENTER STATEMENT OF WORK TITLE OF PROJECT: Medical Resource Database Subscription for the Health Resource Center (HRC) Clinical Services Pharmacists and Certified Pharmacy Technicians 1.Purpose. Access to an evidence-based clinical decision support resource for Clinical Services' Professional staff and Certified Pharmacy Technicians at the Health Resource Center. 2.Background. Currently, Clinical Services has no professionally maintained resource for research pertaining to Pharmacy care and assisting with adjudication decisions in determining copay eligibility from First Party referrals. The addition of this resource to Clinical Services will greatly enhance the commitment to excellence in professional, clinically impactful decision-making of Clinical Services' professional staff. 3.Requirements. Subscription and Licensing of a medical resource database that includes: "Web-based information that is maintained by the vendor on the vendor's system. Nothing will be maintained by VA. "10 access points, or seats, for staff to utilize "Online access using a PC or mobile gadget "Manager Console - allows one assigned administrator on-site to allow access to employees. These employees will establish their own usernames and passwords. "Searchable database by keyword, disease state, or drug "Includes, at a minimum, the equivalent medical areas covered by UpToDate. A list of the medical areas can be found on the UpToDate website, or in the list below: oAllergies and Immunology oAnesthesiology oCardiovascular Medicine oDermatology oEmergency medicine for adults and children oEndocrinology and Diabetes oFamily Medicine and General Practice oGastroenterology and Hepatology oGeneral Surgery oGeriatrics oHematology oHospital Medicine oInfectious Diseases oNephrology and Hypertension oNeurology oObstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health oOncology oPalliative Care oPediatrics oPrimary Care for Adults oPrimary Care Sports Medicine for Adults and Children oPsychiatry oPulmonary and Critical Care Medicine oRheumatology oSleep Medicine "Natural therapy database "Educational information in the medical areas specified above, including drug therapy. "Listing and explanation of Off-Label indications for medications "Information written by physicians with information drawn from medical journals, clinical experience, and recommendations based on the best available evidence. 4.Delivery Information. Access to the medical resource database will be available for use by the HRC within 30 days following award.
