- This is a public synopsis of a forthcoming solicitation in accordance with FAR 36.213-2. This is NOT a solicitation, and NO solicitation documents are currently publically available. Description of Proposed work: STATEMENT OF WORK INSTALL GREASE TRAP PROJECT # 623-15-003 JACK C. MONTGOMERY VA MEDICAL CENTER Provide contract construction services for Project #623-15-003, Install Grease Interceptor/trap. The Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee requires installation of a grease interceptor/trap for the Building 24 Dietetics and Canteen Cafeteria and the upgrade of the sewage lift station in the Building 52 Chiller Plant. This project will install a grease interceptor/trap for the Building 24 Dietetics and Canteen Cafeteria as there is currently no functional grease interceptor/trap. This project will also upgrade the current site sewage lift station in Building 52, Chiller Plant to accommodate increased flow requirements from Building 24 as well as servicing Buildings 52 and 53. The lift station vertical pumps shall be replaced as they are in very poor condition and difficult to maintain. The controls are also outdated and shall be replaced. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, transportation, permits, testing, materials, supplies and incidentals necessary for modifying existing plumbing, installing new plumbing, installing a new grease interceptor/trap, installing two new sewage pumps with new controls and upgrading the existing sewage lift station according to the plans and specifications. Construction work includes the following work as described, but is not limited by the description given: Construction work will consist of re-routing existing sewage drainage lines and the installation of new sewage drainage lines and a sewage line vent pipe in Building 24. Also in Building 24, construction work will consist of modification/renovation of a basement room to accommodate the grease interceptor/trap, re-routing of overhead steam lines and radiator, demolition of the north wall of building 24 to install a coiling door and installation of a 1500 gallon triple-basin grease interceptor/trap. The grease interceptor/trap shall have an electronic monitoring system with an in-tank transducer to monitor grease levels and be tied into the building management system. Construction work will also include installation of a new sewer line from the grease interceptor/trap to the sewage lift station in Building 52 which will involve cutting concrete slabs and penetrating foundation walls. Construction work will also include the upgrade of the sewage lift station in Building 52 to include two new column pumps with updated controls. A new 12'x8' coiling door will be installed on the north wall of Building 24 to both assist in placement of the new grease interceptor/trap and operational maintenance. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform the required work detailed in the drawings and specifications. Contractor shall be responsible for work to provide a complete project with all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other systems fully integrated and functioning. Work by contractor shall be coordinated with the government to minimize impact to hospital operations, which may include extensive after-hours work. This project shall be completed in 175 calendar days from the notice to proceed in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. Estimated Price Range: Between $100,000 AND $250,000.
