Description
STEM Performance Work Statement SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Reference Number: FA8201-16-R-0024 Notice Type: Sources Sought NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 541990 which has a corresponding Size standard of $15 Million. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in 8(a) small businesses. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. Any responses involving teaming arrangements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by teaming partners. PROGRAM DETAILS: This contract is for educational outreach services to support the Hill AFB Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program. Please see attached Performance Work Statement for additional details. The contractor will provide educational outreach support in the form of two (2) STEM Coordinator(s). Specific areas shall include, but not be limited to program support for existing and new educational outreach programs and initiatives and personnel support to run existing and new educational outreach programs and initiatives. The primary objective has five fundamental components: 1) the identification of doable enrichment programs that provide the learning experiences through successful, long-term DoD-wide programs to invigorate STEM curricula at the K-12 levels; 2) enhance the teaching skills of STEM teachers to deliver that curricula; 3) increase the level of awareness and interest of students in STEM activities, projects, and career opportunities; 4) the alignment of the same programs with State of Utah curriculum guidelines. 5) Coordinating volunteers and maintaining metrics for all events. All five components will require focused, on-site assistance from certified classroom teachers and associated professional staff in both program formulation/execution and curriculum alignment.
