- NOTIFICATION OF SOLE SOURCE AWARD Defense Human Resources Activity (DHRA) intends to award a contract on a sole source basis for Assistive Technology (AT) products for the Federal Employees with disabilities and wounded, ill, and injured Service members to the following contractor, respectively: • Comfort Audio, 411 E Business Center Dr., Mount Prospect, IL 60056 This contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with a projected one 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods. These services are unique in nature. The Rehabilitation Act Amendments of 1973, as amended, Title VI - Employment Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities requires assisting employers in understanding and meeting the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 21101 et seq.) as the act relates to employment of individuals with disabilities. The devices will enable the customers to fully perform their daily job duties. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any party that believes it is capable of meeting the requirements stated in the attached Statement of Work (SOW) may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to perform the requirements. Capability statements must be received by the response date and time of this notice (see below). Submissions will be reviewed to determine if they can meet the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This procurement is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12 Part 13. Please see the uploaded SOW for a description of the requirements.
