Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 20 (NCO 20) intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b)(2), soliciting to a single source to Steris Corporation. The services will be provided for Puget Sound Health Care System (PSHCS) Seattle Division and American Lake for the following type of equipment: AMSCO, Finn Aqua, and Hamo. Steris is the only company that can provide all parts replacement and services in compliant with the original equipment manufacturer specifications. Distributors are not being utilized. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; nonetheless, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by January 24, 2016, 4:00 p.m. (PST). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to susan.delacruz@va.gov.
