- Washington Headquarters Service intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the statutory authority permitting Limited Sources as implemented by FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized; Will Satisfy Agency Requirements to Solutions Engineering Corporation, 5149 Westbard Ave, Bethesda Maryland 20816-1413. This follow-on requirement is for an expiring task order HQ0034-15-F-0025 awarded to Solutions Engineering Corporation. This task order was issued off General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Vehicle # GS-35F-4824G for the Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy (DPAP), which requires Ab Initio software renewal and maintenance. Procurement of the maintenance is needed in order to continue software support for the DPAP enterprise. Ab Initio software provides high-volume data processing applications and enterprise application integration. Additionally, the software performs functions relating to fourth generation data analysis, batch processing, data manipulation Graphical User Interface (GUI)-based parallel processing software which is commonly used to Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely with in the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this requirement, no later than 3:00 pm EST, January 22, 2016. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offerors bona fide capability to provide these items. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses may be submitted via email if the total file size is less than 5MB.
