- Scope of Practice THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT - A SOLICITATION IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. The intent of this announcement is to obtain a list of interested vendors and a request for comments on the proposed specifications for Ambulance and EMT personnel in support of Wildland Fire and All Hazard Incident Operations. Submission in response to the request is voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for costs incurred in response to this request of information. The Department of Agriculture (USDA), US Forest Service (USFS) in the Pacific Northwest (Region 6) is soliciting for information from interested vendors able to provide Ambulance and EMT personnel for use during local, Regional and Nationwide Wildland Fire and All Hazard Incidents. The USFS intends to solicit for these services and anticipates awarding multiple Incident Blanket Purchase Agreements (I-BPA) prior to the 2016 fire season. The solicitation will be issued using the Virtual Incident Procurement (VIPR) system; to use VIPR you must have access to a computer with internet capabilities. Basic information about the VIPR system and a vendor user guide is located at http://www.fs.fed.us/business/incident/vendors.php. Additional information and vendor requirements will be posted in FBO prior to a solicitation being posted. The "Recommendations for Contract Specifications for EMS Personnel and Vehicles on Wildland Fires" document outlines the proposed requirements the USFS is seeking to obtain for Ambulance and EMT services.
