REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) VA118-16-N-0960 Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Acquisition Operations, Technology Acquisition Center, Eatontown, New Jersey 07724 The Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information and Technology (OI&T), Enterprise Systems Engineering (ESE), Configuration and Asset Management Technologies (CAMT) has a requirement for Content Management Software and annual maintenance for 450,000 users. VA established a goal in 2015 to flatten the enterprise System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) hierarchy and reduce the hardware infrastructure footprint by at least 90%. To meet this goal, VA is migrating from SCCM 2007 to SCCM/CM 2012. Content Management add-ons for CM2012 leverage peer-to-peer distribution and bandwidth management technology to eliminate the need for dedicated servers. Because so much of the core CM2012 capability is focused on software distribution, including security patch management and operating system deployment, Content Management Software is a critical component of the CM2012 migration project. For project planning and information gathering, the Draft Product Description (PD) is included which defines the brand name or equal requirements needed to support our mission. Information obtained from this RFI will be used within VA and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. The planned Basis of Award is lowest price that conforms to the requirements. Please submit the following: 1.Please respond if you are an available reseller of the items below listed in the PD. 2.The Government anticipates a brand name or equal requirement. Are there multiple products available in the commercial market place that will meet the Government's minimum requirements as set forth in the PD? If so, please identify. 3. Does Industry agree with the minimum requirements provided in the PD? Are any of the minimum requirements specified in the PD restrictive relative to question number 2? All interested parties shall respond no later than 12:00 Noon EDT on January 26, 2016 via email to Den-el Opuszynski, Contract Specialist at den-el.opuszynski@va.gov. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. Responses are requested no later than 12:00 Noon EDT on January 26, 2016.
