Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey 07724 intends to enter into a sole source Firm-Fixed Price new work modification on a limited sources justification under Contract VA118-14-C-0030 for the upgrade of eight existing Medication Reconciliation (MedRec) Tool licenses currently in use at Medical Centers within Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 10. This software upgrade under MedRec Tool Version 1.1 will provide for Discharge (D/C) Navigator capability. This D/C Navigator capability contains all the steps required to produce discharge documentation for the patient and physician. In addition, the contractor will provide webinar training of approximately two hours per each of the eight VAMC sites for instruction on the upgrade and navigation tool capability. The contract modification is pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), "Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized." The place of performance for this acquisition is at the Contractor's facility. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 541512 with a corresponding small business size standard of $27.5M. The estimated date of modification award for this action is January 29, 2016. This is a notification of intent, not a request for proposals.
