Description

Oklahoma City VA Medical Center Oklahoma City, OK 73140 Scope of Work (This is for information only) The VETERANS ADMINISTRATI ON MEDICAL CENTER, OKLAHOMA CITY, OK is in need of Contractor (who meets USP 797 Intravenous (IV) standards and accreditation) that will provide total IV room services in the procurement of all medications, supplies, IV solutions and all other required products to deliver sterile IV infusion products for VA patients according to a VA provider order and provide delivery to the VA OKC facility and finished product is ready for administration to the patient. Contractor will meet all USP 797 guidelines in the completion of this process. This service will be provided when the VA Pharmacy USP 797 IV rooms are inoperable or non-functional on a short term and/or long emergent basis. Contractor will provide delivery service for finished IV products prepared at contractor's facility and deliver the finished product to the VA Pharmacy within a two hour period from time of receipt of the order from VA staff or provider. Infusion Therapies Infusion therapies (including supplies) provided/prepared at contractor's facility for VA OKC hospitalized patients and the patient care services available at contractor's facility during VA's inoperable or non-functional status shall include: oTotal Parental Nutrition (TPN) oOther Infusion Therapy as Required including Chemotherapy oHydration (fluid/electrolyte replacement) oAntibiotic, Antiviral and Anti-fungal Therapy oPain Management (Controlled Substances) oCatheter Maintenance oAll supplies required for preparation of infusion therapies oSharps containers for all waste and also for biohazard products All medications and supplies to be used for care of VA patients will be provided by the contractor and delivery of IV infusion products will be transported to VA OKC Pharmacy by contractor as a backup service only if VA OK CITY 797 Room is inoperable or non-functional.
