Description: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD NAICS code 334510 The West Palm Beach, VA Medical Center intends to award a sole source Purchase Order to MELA SCIENCES, INC. for XTRAC Laser Maintenance Serial Number: 80653. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received by NLT 9 February 2016 of publication of this notice, shall be considered by 16 February 2016. All inquiries shall be submitted by email, otherwise will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of information received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements using Simplified Acquisition Procedures per FAR Part 13. The anticipated award date is 19 February 2016.
