Description

The West Texas VA Health Care System (WTVAHCS), located at 300 Veterans Blvd., Big Spring, TX 79720, intends to purchase a Medrad Injector ISI 900 for use with Siemens CT Scanner. The Government intends to limit sources due to the proprietary technologies and compatibility with currently operational system. The acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334510 - Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing. Any firms who wish to identify their interests and capability to provide this equipment must provide proof that authorization from the manufacturer has been attained by notifying the Contract Specialist no later than 09:00 AM EST, 02/04/2016. Such notification must include any documentation that includes certifications and description of services that meets or exceeds the capabilities of the manufacturer. Notification shall be e-mailed or faxed to Jessica Roman, Contract Specialist, jessica.roman@va.gov, fax: 432-517-4586. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with the sole source negotiation. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes.
