- Description
- RFI for LQI, NDC and PWAS, Drawings, Assessments etc. THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR PRESOLICITATION SYNOPSIS BUT RATHER IS A RFI PERTAINING TO THE REPAIR OF C-130H AIRCRAFT LIQUID QUANTITY INDICATOR (6680-01-394-2555LG), NAVIGATION DATA CONVERTERS (6605-01-417-1491LG, 6605-01-378-2915LG, 6605-01-397-2868LG) AND PILOT WARNING ALARM SET (6340-01-394-9780LG). The Government is conducting market research/RFI to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the repair requirements for qualification and production of the C-130H Aircraft Liquid Quantity Indicator, Navigation Data Converters and Pilot Warning Alarm Set for use by United States Air Force (USAF). The level of security clearance and amount of foreign participation in this requirement has not been determined. The Air Force Material Command, AFMC Form 762, Contract Repair Screening Acquisition Worksheet Repair Method Code (RMC) and Repair Method Suffix Code (RMSC) for these items are R5R. RMC "R5" means repair directly from sole source contractor which is not the actual manufacturer. RMSC "R" means the Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to contract repair of this part from additional sources. It has been determined to be uneconomical to buy the data or rights to the data. It is uneconomical to reverse engineer the part. This code is used when the Government did not initially purchase the data and/or rights. No samples are available for potential supplier to evaluate due to carcass constraints. The Contractor is responsible for providing, maintaining and calibrating all support equipment required at their facility or a subcontractor's facility. Contractor furnished material or parts used for replacement shall equal or exceed the quality of the original material or parts. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. The Government does not own or have access to the data for these items. Contractor shall furnish all material, support equipment, tools, test equipment, and services.
