- This Special Notice is issued to correct a past error of inadvertently not posting the required Notice of Intent to issue a Sole Source Award for Option Year One services under Purchase Order No. A15PX00138 on 08-19-2015. No solicitation is available for this requirement. The Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Western Regional Office, Phoenix, AZ., inadvertently did not issue notice of its intent to exercise FAR Clause 52.217-9 Option to Exend the Term of the Contract for Option Year One under Purchase Order No. A15PX00138, to the County of Washoe, Sheriffs Department, Reno, NV, for continued Adult Detention Services for the BIA WRO Office of Justice Services (OJS), in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Option Year Ones period of performance began 01-01-2016 through 12-31-2016. A Determinations and Findings (D&F) was prepared in support this acquisition. The procurement was awarded using FAR 12 Commercial Simplified Acquisition procedures. If a firm believes that BIA should not have pursue this procurement with the Sheriffs Department, Washoe County, NV., it should submit a capability statement and pricing information for the requirement, via email to paul.robinson@bia.gov. A determination by the Government to compete in the future for the services as based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice closes February 29, 2016, 9:00 AM EST.
