- DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall furnish all labor, facilities, mandatory parts, non-mandatory parts, materials, equipment, tools and data (other than Government Furnished Property), necessary to accomplish the overhaul of the following asset: Noun: Transmission, M Model Input NSN: 1615-01-538-9786 Output NSN: 1615-01-542-7514 Input P/N: 70351-48100-042 Output P/N: 70351-58100-046 Quantity: 25 EA, No FMS Quantity IncludedThe proposed contractual action will be a single award, one year firm fixed price contract for the Maintenance and Overhaul of the Transmission, M Model, for 25 each. There will be no Foreign Military Sales quantity included. It has been determined the Government's needs cannot be met in the commercial marketplace; therefore, Federal acquisition Regulation Part 12 will not be used. The Transmission, M Model is a Critical Safety Item (CSI), therefore, only approved sources can be considered. Technical data is not available to support a full and open competitive solicitation. A Product Verification Audit (PVA) and M&O Plan is required. This procurement is restricted to the following source Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main St., Stratford, CT, CAGE code: 78286 (large business). Contractors are encouraged to seek Source Approval Requests (SAR) in order to become an approved source by submitting documentation in accordance with the Competition Advocate‘s Shopping List (CASL) procedures. These procedures are outlined at the following website: http://amcomdmz.redstone.army.mil/casl_cmo/casl_cmo_home. Award of this requirement will not be withheld because of SAR. Requests for the solicitation shall be by mail or email. You may mail your requests to Eric Tippit, CCAM-ALM, Building 5303, 2nd Floor, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5000. Email requests should be sent to eric.l.tippit.civ@mail.mil. Proposals can be hand carried, mailed, via the US Postal Service, or delivered by commercial delivery service. NoFAX email responses shall be accepted for the proposal. This requirement is currently unfunded. Award will be withheld pending receipt of sufficient funds. The closing date annotated is an estimate date and will be adjusted dependent upon the release of the solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above.
