Description
This Sources Sought is being issued for planning purposes only and it is not a solicitation or pre-solicitation. Responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY COSTS INCURRED BY INTERESTED PARTIES IN RESPONDING TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT. The 628th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, SC is seeking contractors who are capable of providing the supplies/commodity items according to the following paragraph: The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, equipment, tools, and materials necessary to install one (1) each 60 to 400 hertz generator for the 437 MXS Squadron at Joint Base Charleston - Air Base, Charleston, SC. The minimum capabilities are as follows: 1. Generator Replacement: The contractor is responsible for removing an existing inoperative generator and replace with a new Motor-Generator set (M-G) used to convert 60 to 400 hertz power to aircraft (to include all mount controls, voltage regulators, and protective devices). The contractor shall have at time of installation a qualified electrician who possess all necessary licenses and or certification necessary to perform all task pertaining to the removal and installation of the M-G set. 2. Testing: The contractor is required to perform factory testing prior to shipping in accordance with MIL-STD-705 and IEEE Std 115 to verify 100% functionality and compatibility. Testing must be completed after the installation of the new generator to ensure all electrical connections and components are functioning properly. Any additional testing of the generator to ensure functionality and operability as needed is also required. 3. Defective Parts: Contractor shall include the removal and replacement of defective part(s) and testing of the machine to ensure funtionality/operability 4. Disposal: Contractor is required to remove and properly dispose of any packaging debris upon completion of generator installation. Contractors must be able to begin work within a thirty day (30) calendar day period. A Fixed Price type contract is contemplated. AT A MINIMUM, THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS REQUIRED: (a) A positive statement of your intention to bid on this contract. (b) Business Size, Duns, Cage Code, Tax ID, and Point of Contact. (c) Capability Statement to include the condition of items sought. All of the above information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested businesses. Failure to submit all information requested may result in a contractor not being considered as an interested vendor. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 335312 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employee size standard. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on the Federal Business opportunities web page at http://www.fbo.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to visit this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective contractors must have a current and valid CAGE code and DUNS number in order to be eligible for award.
