Description

The Contracting Department, NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center (FLC), Norfolk intends to negotiate a Sole-Source Firm Fixed-Price contract and will utilize procedures under FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items with Johnson and Johnson Health Care Systems Inc. (Advanced Sterilization Products) 425 Hoes Lane Piscataway, NJ, 08854-4103. The proposed requirement is to acquire preventive maintenance agreement for the Sterrad NX, 100S Sterilization System, and Evotech Endoscopic Reprocessor (ECR) located at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune (NHCL).This is a Sole Source Action since the requested maintenance must be performed by Johnson and Johnson Health Care Systems qualified technicians. The period of performance for this requirement will consist of one (1) 12-month base period and two (2) 12-month option periods. FAR 52.217-8 “ Option to Extend will be included in the solicitation and the resulting contract. The anticipated date of the award is on or about 07 March 2016. The anticipated start date of performance is 01 April 2016. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. A complete RFQ package will be available on or about 10 February 2016, by downloading the documents at the NECO Website as follows: http://www.neco.navy.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811219. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the SAM database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.sam.gov.
