Description

This is a presolicitation notice for a solicitation that will be posted on or around 19 February 2016. The resulting contract will be a Basic Ordering Agreement, which will result in multiple contracts for multiple vendors. Each vendor that is awarded a BOA contract will then compete for each fastener requirement with the award going to the lowest price technically acceptable. This BOA program is to supply Level I fasteners to the U.S. Navy over potentially the next 5 years. Fasteners include, but will not be limited to: -Hex socket, cylindrical head cap screws -Hex head cap screws -Self-locking hex head cap screws -Hex Head cap screws -Regular hex nuts -Heavy hex nuts -Continuous threaded studs (bolt-studs) -Cadmium plated, self-locking regular hex nuts -Hex head, lockwire hole cap screws Phosphate coating may apply to any of the above listed fasteners. Fasteners listed above to be made from the following material: -Alloy Steel -4340 Steel -Nickel Copper -Nickel Copper Aluminum (K-Monel) -Grade B7, 4, and 5 Steel Details and specifications will be available in the solicitation when it is posted. Approved DD Form 2345 will be needed to receive the program's fastener book. Please see the solicitation when it is posted for more details.
