Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified Contractors interested in providing offers for the Replacement of HVAC DDC Controls and Replacement of Tower HVAC Units at the William P. Hobby Airport, Houston, Texas See attached draft Summary of Work which includes,DEMOLITION, NEW DDC CONTROL SYSTEM, AND NEW MECHANICAL ITEMS. This work will be performed at an operational air traffic control facility and the Contractor must exercise extreme care while working in and around the electronic and environmental equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 223820. The estimated price range of this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. Contract performance time is 180 calendar days from notice-to-proceed. The contractor is expected to perform at least 20% of the work using its own experienced work force. A mandatory site visit will be required. The date, time, location, and point of contact will be provided with the solicitation package. The solicitation is expected to be released the week of February 22, 2016. The mandatory site visit is tentatively scheduled for the week of March 7, 2016. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFER MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING GO/NO GO CRITERIA: a. The contractor must have successfully completed (3) similar projects both in dollar amount and scope, on a Life Safety Critical Facility such as a hospital or a similar FAA facility, during the past (5) years b. The contractor must have delivered a quality product in the timeframe established by the contract. The contractor must provide the name of the facility where work was performed, contract number, along with a point of contact at the facility and telephone number. This information MUST BE submitted with the request for specifications and plans. CONTRACTORS MUST SUBMIT THEIR COMPLETE REQUEST FOR THIS PACKAGE NO LATER THAN 12:00 PM(CDT) BY FEBRUARY 24, 2016 AND COMPLETE AND SUBMIT THE THREE ATTACHED DOCUMENTS: 1. DOCUMENT SECURITY NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS 2. BUSINESS DECLARATION 3. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL DEEM THE REQUEST FOR THIS SOLICITATION AS NON-RESPONSIVE.
