- This is a notice of intent to proceed with a sole source requirement beneath the simplified acquisition threshold. The contractor is Astrophysics, Incorporated. The contractor will be responsible for providing powered roller tables to CBP facilities in Hawaii and Michigan. The tables will be delivered and installed by March 31, 2016. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Only one source is deemed reasonably available. This notice is being provided per FAR 5.101(a)(1), 5.201(b)(1)(i), and 5.207(c)(14). Market research has found no other vendor with licensing to use Astrophysics' proprietary software needed to integrate the equipment. Vendors that believe they can meet these requirements in the future may respond to this notice. The response should contain a brief description of the vendor's capability. Please also include the size of your business (large or small) and recent examples of similar work. Any vendor who wishes to submit information for this requirement should email their information to the attention of Nathan Briggs at nathan.p.briggs@cbp.dhs.gov. To receive consideration, submissions must be received no later than 12:00 noon ET, February 17, 2016. Only email submissions will be accepted.
