- The National Park Service, Grand Canyon National Park, intends to issue a firm-fixed price, basic ordering agreement on a sole source basis with Pump Systems, Inc., who is the regional authorized dealer for Weir Corporation. The agreement will be for the purchase of repair parts and technical assistance (parts and labor) in accordance with FAR 16.703. Weir Corporation is the manufacturer of the custom made Rotojet Model 2200 pump and allows patented parts for these pumps to be sold only by their authorized distributors. Rotojet Model 2200 pumps were installed at Grand Canyon National Park in 2004. These pumps are required to pump 100 gallons of water per minute up 4,000 vertical feet to the North Rim Complex at a working discharge head of 1,700 psi. The custom pump designs are proprietary and patented. The only source of supply is Pump Systems, Inc., Gilbert AZ. Firms believing they can provide a complete set of replaceable repair parts and service to repair these pumps must provide written notification within 5 days of the posting date of this notice to the Contracting Officer with supporting evidence to that effect in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses received within the due date of the special notice will be considered by the Government. The due date and time for responses is February 24, 2016 at 17:00 hrs. MT. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses shall be emailed to the Government point of contact below. Responses should include the firm's Dun and Bradstreet number and Tax Identification Number. Firms should identify business size (i.e. small business, other than small business, etc.) in accordance with the size standard for NAICS Code 333911 which is 500 employees.
