- HIMSS 2016 Conference & Exhibition Pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), the Contracting Officer may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source is reasonably available. The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Program Support Center (PSC), Acquisition Management Services (AMS) on behalf of PSC, Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) intends to sole source to: Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) North America 1 St. Clair Avenue NE Cleveland, OH 44114 The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Program Support Center (PSC), Acquisition Management Services (AMS) on behalf of PSC, Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) intends to sole source to HIMSS North America for participation in the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) annual conference from February 29 - March 4, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.. HIMSS North America provides thought leadership, community building, professional development, public policy, and events. HIMSS North America represents 61,000 individual members, 640 corporate members, and over 450 non-profit organizations. This conference provides ONC's experts opportunities to present and share their experience and simultaneously learn both in implementation as well as research. HIMSS sessions feature full-length papers, abstract presentations, and posters, panel discussions including didactic and interactive panels with extensive audience participation, cutting-edge policy presentations, keynotes, tutorials, system demonstrations, and pre-Symposium workshops. This vendor is the only provider of this conference, and there are no other comparable conferences being offered at this time that would satisfy ONC's need to present and hear the latest scientific discoveries related to health information technology, network with colleagues and peers, collaborate with other health IT professionals, and learn from others in the health information technology field. This is not a solicitation for competitive proposal. No solicitation document is available. All responsible sources that have determined that they can provide the same services may submit product information and a capabilities statement addressing their specific abilities regarding this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract base upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
