- ANNOUCEMENT: Potential Print Providers are invited to a Telecon that will be held February 5th, 2016 3:00PM-4:30PM EST. Please RSVP to Charlesette.D.Parris@faa.gov. Telecon details are provided under attachment labeled "INFO Feb 5 Telecon". STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES: The FAA seeks to transition from printing and distribution operations for all aeronautical chart products to products Available on Demand (AOD). The FAA is seeking commercial industry solutions to provide a variety of aeronautical chart products. The vision is for Print Provider Agreements to enable the FAA to operate more efficiently and allow the FAA to respond to the needs of the organization and public more quickly and easily. Understanding that the needs of the public are changing, through AOD, the FAA will be able to shift resources from printing/distributing to finding innovative ways to provide the chart products and information. PURPOSE: The purpose of providing the draft agreement and other documents is to gather information about vendor capabilities and determine interest in providing available-on-demand platforms for aeronautical charts NOTE: The draft agreement is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a Request for Proposal, or as a contract or commitment of any kind, nor as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these services. The Government shall not be liable for payment of any costs attributed to the preparation and submission of requested market research information, capability briefings or other documentation submitted in response to this announcement. There is no entitlement to payment by the FAA of direct or indirect costs or charges that are incurred as a result of submission of responses to this announcement.
