Description

The Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd, Richmond, VA 23249 intends to negotiate with Owl, Inc., on a sole source basis pursuant to VAAR 873 and FAR 13.103-1(b)(2) for wheel chair van and hired car services. This contract is a bridge covering the period from expiration of current contract through the award of new long term contract. The period of performance for this sole source award is March 1, 2016-April 8, 2016. The Contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, specified supplies, and resources necessary to provide Wheelchair Van and Hired Car transportation for wheelchair bound veterans and beneficiaries and hired cars to other eligible special needs Veterans and beneficiaries. This includes one way and /or round trip transportation services on an as needed basis from the Veterans' place of residence to the multiple locations. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 485991. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature to the Contracting Officer no later than February 29, 2016 at 8:00am EST. Responses should be sent to Sarita.foxworth2@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
