- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. Military Sealift Command (MSC) is seeking information on potential sources concerning the midterm availability for the USNS APACHE (T-ATF-172) which will satisfy the requirements as detailed below. USNS APACHE (T-ATF-172) is scheduled for a Midterm Availability (MTA) beginning on or about 1-28 September 2016 with a performance period of 28 days. The MTA will be conducted at a contractor's facility on the East Coast, U.S. The estimated issue date of this solicitation (N32205-16-R-4404) is on or about 13 April 2016. After issuance, the solicitation may be obtained on the FedBizOpps website: https://www.fbo.gov/. The major work items are as follows: 1. 101 Kick Pipe Steel Repairs 2. 108 Repair Tops of Stacks P and S 3. 109 Preserve and Paint Hull House and Stacks 4. 110 Engine Room Bilge Preservation 5. 402 Gyro Groom 6. 403 GMDSS Recertification 7. 404 Radar Maintenance 8. 406 Wind Bird Calibration 9. 503 Tow Pin Box Renewal 10. 515 Crane Extension Cylinder Replacement 11. 601 Annual Firefighting Inspection 12. 602 Davit Extension Installation 13. 604 Life Rafts Annual Service 14. 607 Potable Water Foundation 15. 608 Stateroom Arrangement and Plumbing 16. 802 Galley and Laundry Ventilation All Small Businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUBZone and Certified 8(a) Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will determine whether, a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. This office anticipates award of a contract on or about 18 July 2016. The Appropriate NAICS Code is 336611, Ship Building and Repair, which has a size standard of 1,000 employees. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. It is requested that interested small businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to provide the requested items. This document shall address, as a minimum the following: (1) Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE code and a statement regarding small business designation and status; (2) The facility where the work will be performed; (3) Partnership agreements with any large businesses. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. To aid the Government, please segregate proprietary information. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
