Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice. Description The Forest Service Alaska Region 10 has a competitive requirement for towing, dry docking, and hull work for Tongass National Forest "Misty Fjord" barge. Work includes exterior hull, deck, and appurtenances preparation and painting, install pipe fitting through deck, service to winches, and cables. A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation is expected to be issued on or about March 15th, 2016 on Fedbizopps. Quotes will be due 15 days after release of the solicitation unless otherwise stated when the solicitation is posted. The Contrfacting Officer anticipates this work will be advertised as full and open competion. Work associated with this contract will fall primarily under NAICS 336611. Location: The Misty Fjords Barge is currently located at Winstanley Island in Behm Canal, and will be located at Ketchikan, AK. Potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (see Internet site: http://www.sam.gov/).
