Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Acquisition Division-Kansas City office intends to award, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.5, with Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) for technical and logistical support for one (1) Environmental Sample Processor for the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) located in Ann Arbor, MI. A Sources Sought notice was posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on February 8, 2016 and closed on February 15, 2016. No responses were received. Justification for Sole Source The Environmental Sample Processor (ESP) that was previously purchased requires technical and logistical support for upcoming deployments of the ESP. MBARI located in Moss Landing, CA 95039, is the only source of this service based on the proprietary nature of the service which created the ESP technology.
