- Draft Statement of Work for FPS District Command Construction Project. GSA Northwest Arctic Region Market Research for Qualified Business sources GSA Public Building Service Northwest Arctic Region NAICS Code 236220- Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. This is not a solicitation. This information is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The information we receive from this sources sought will aid in the development of a forthcoming solicitation. Please read the following and respond in accordance with the requirements if interested in proposing on this project. REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION: The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service, Northwest Arctic Region seeking qualified and interested contractors to participate in a future acquisition for construction services at the GSA Region 10 warehouse and fleet building located 2601 C ST SW, AUBURN, WA 98001-7401 in the GSA Complex in Auburn, WA. These buildings require renovation to the spaces to support the Federal Protection Service (FPS) District Command Operations. Work will include, but not limited to, installation of a detention bench, relocation of office furniture and workstations from current location, minor modifications to wall fire protection to ensure 1 hour fire rating, relocation of workstations, minor electrical for support of furniture and workstations, steam-cleaning carpets, painting select walls, and minor plumbing work, to include installation of faucets. Work will be conducted under NAICS Code 236220- Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. Project as been estimated to a construction magnitude potentially under $25K. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: Companies having capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought notice including commercial market information and company information. Companies may respond to this Sources Sought Notice via e-mail to Amanda.Rinkel@gsa.gov. The subject line must specify FPS Command Construction Project. Responses must be submitted no later than March 8, 2016 at 2:00 PM, Pacific Time with the following information/documentation: 1. Your intent to submit a quote for this project when it is formally advertised. 2. Business name, address and point of contact information. 3. CAGE Code, DUNS number, or a copy of your System for Award Management (SAM) information. 4. Please indicate if your firm is small business socio-economic concern including, but not limited to service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HubZone certified business, 8(a) certified business or joint venture, Alaska Native Corporation or other Native American Tribally owned business. 5. Statement of Capability (SOC). Include a tailored Capability Statements that demonstrates a clear understanding of all tasks specified. Include: your skills, experience, knowledge, and equipment required to perform the specified type of work. Documentation of past specialized experience, up to three (3) past projects for which your firm was the contractor, your capability to self-perform work, and confirm your firm's interest and ability in low-dollar threshold projects. The SOC should be no more than three pages in length. 6. If you are responding to this Notice from outside the geographic location of the work, please provide a short narrative detailing how you propose to mobilize and perform the work at a fair and reasonable price to the Government. Comments may also be provided in response to this Sources Sought Notice. Interested parties should submit their responses to Amanda Rinkel, Contract Specialist, via email to Amanda.Rinkel@gsa.gov. Your response to this notice must be received by March 8, 2016 at 2:00 PM, Pacific Time SAM: Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. At this time no solicitation exists; therefore, do Not Request a Copy of the Solicitation. After a review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation notice and solicitation may be published on Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps for release of any future solicitation that may result from this Sources Sought Notice. However, responses to this Sources Sought Notice will not be considered adequate responses to any resultant solicitation. Pursuant to FAR Part 10 (Market Research), the purpose of this notice is to: (1) determine if sources capable of satisfying the agency's requirements exists, (2) determine if commercial items suitable to meet the agency's needs are available or could be modified to meet the agency's requirements, and (3) determine the commercial practices of company's engaged in providing the needed service or supply. Pursuant to FAR Part 6 and FAR Part 19, competition and set-aside decisions may be based on the results of this market research. This notice in no way obligates the Government to any further action.
