- Description
- VWC requires the planning, design, development, testing, launch, technical support and maintenance of a fully functional, 508/ADA-compliant, interactive website complete with a Content Management System (CMS) as further defined below to replace www.vietnamwar50th.com. This website must feature layers of role-based access control: an external website available to the general public, an internal website accessible by Commemorative Partners (CP) with User IDs and Passwords, and an administrative level of the internal website accessible by VWC staff using Common Access Cards (CAC) featuring additional role-based levels of access (e.g., VWC administrator-level users will be able to set access from partial view-only to full view/full control for other staff users). The internal side must support (a) multiple levels of access (e.g., civilian CPs, military CPs, VWC staff, VWC CMS manager); (b) capability for CPs to securely manage and modify their unique contact data, including User ID and Password, as well as 'opt in' to an internal collaboration space to 'live chat' and share email messages with other CPs and VWC; (c) upload, storage, display and search of extensive contact data from, at minimum, 15,000 CPs (45,000 records), at least 30,000 event requests and related after action reports per year, and, at minimum, 200,000 hi-resolution digital photographs, and 5,000 hi-resolution video and/or audio clips spanning up to 120 minutes by both CPs and VWC; (d) submission, storage and processing of requests by CPs for VWC assistance (e.g. materials, booths, speakers); (e) production of a full suite of user-defined reports available through the CMS; (f) provision of shipping labels; (g) support for interactive maps/posters; (h) playing of video/audio clips; (i) access to and maintenance of a searchable repository of CP requests; (j) distribution of electronic content to bulk email lists of, at minimum, 45,000 distinctive email addresses (i.e., existing CPs and new subscribers), identification and isolation of duplicate and invalid email addresses at upload, and provision of real-time analytics on delivery (e.g., emails delivered, opened, click through rate, bounce rate); (k) support inventory management, data sorting, inventory control, and links to 3rd party websites; and (l) provision of extensive analytics of site use and database content. The external side must support extensive public viewing and interaction with hi-resolution materials, photographs, and videos available through the site, and world-wide Google mapping and associated interactive calendaring of commemorative events and CPs; downloads of hi-resolution materials, photographs and videos; and an interactive, extensive timeline of the Vietnam War period.
