Description

SLAC seeks vendors that can provide the following: One (1) Each of Ultrafast Fiber Laser System with the following minimum Specifications: • Ytterbium doped Fiber laser • Repetition rate: Tunable from single shot to 40MHz (change of the repetition rate should have no impact on the beam quality) • Average optical output 50W • Energy per pulse >=200 μJ • Central Wavelength: 10305nm • Pulse duration: <300fs • Pulse-to-pulse stability < 1% rms • Pulse energy stability <0.5% over 24 hours • Beam Quality with M2<1.2 • Beam diameter <2.5mm+-10% at 1/e2 • Beam polarization ratio >100:1 • Beam Astigmatism < 50% • Beam Pointing <10% of beam diameter at 1m • Spectral bandwidth with no ripples, no pedestals • To allow the synchronization of the laser pulses with an external trigger signal provided by SPEAR3 storage ring (1.2804MHz) • Synchrolock oscillator frequency at 39.692MHz • Diode lifetime >1 year at 24/7 operation • Laser should allow a future upgrade to 100W if proper Booster Amplifier is to be used • Vendor should be certified with ISO 9001 and FDA • Prior Experience of Vendor with fiber lasers on other synchrotron radiation and XFEL facilities for x-ray pump optical laser-probe time-resolved type of measurements is needed. References will be required. • On-site installation of laser and SSRL team training • Customer support required with a response time of <48h. If this is not the case: proper training of SLAC personnel is required and additional critical spare parts at SLAC. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE.
