- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. 1. INTRODUCTION: This announcement establishes an official (RFI) as defined in FAR 10 and DOES NOT constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or commitment to the Government to issue an RFP in the future. The Government is not seeking proposals and will NOT accept unsolicited proposals for this RFI. Replies to this RFI notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Respondents are advised that the Government will NOT pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in responding to this RFI; all cost associated with responding to this RFI shall be endured solely at the interested party's expense. All submissions will become Government property and will not be returned. 2. BACKGROUND: The Program Manager for Armed Scout Helicopter (PM ASH) within the Program Executive Office of Aviation (PEO AVN) is interested in receiving information on sources capable of providing support of Critical Safety Item R3 engines for the OH-58D aircraft [CEP1]. This support includes assessment of the engine performance for mission readiness for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with engine assembly or module replacement. The Contractor will provide the tools and instructions, which will help the Contractor Field Service Representatives (CFSRs) to provide Limited Depot Level Repair, Technical assistance and product knowledge. 3. PURPOSE: The purpose of this RFI is to assess current industry capabilities to meet the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) requirement to provide engineering support necessary for the final Kiowa Warrior operating unit. 4. REQUIREMENT: Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Program Management. Contractor shall perform all program management functions required to ensure successful CLS program implementation and performance. Program Management shall include: status reporting, recommendations for resolution of technical issues, host In Process Review (IPR), and conduct integrated subsystem coordination for system configuration management and upgrade. 5. RESPONSE REQUIREMENTS AND FORMAT: All interested parties are invited to respond to this RFI by submitting the following information: •a. Company name, CAGE code, address, point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, and business size (if small, provide type of small business) •b. Evidence of ability to perform the requirement in support of OH-58D aircraft R3 engines •c. Identify your company's status in Federal Government System for Award Management (SAM) 6. RESPONSE DEADLINE: All responses shall be submitted to the U.S. Army Contracting Command, ATTN: CCAM-ARC/Kutilda Farrar, kutilda.j.farrar.civ@mail.mil and courtesy copied to Linda King, ALC, linda.k.king6.civ@mail.mil, Subject line should read: RFI: CLS Extension - YOUR COMPANY NAME.
