- Drawings Combined/Synopsis Solicitation General Information a. Scope: This project involves the procurement, fabrication, treatment, and delivery of the materials and hardware listed in the Schedule, Parts 1, 1a, and 2 and will be used to upgrade structures on the Custer- Gallatin National Forest. b. Delivery: The finished products and hardware will be delivered to the Gallatin National Forest, Bridger Work Center, 9900 Fish Hatchery Road, Bozeman, MT. 59715. All materials shall be delivered no later than July 29th, 2016. * The work center is not manned all the time and the gate is locked. Delivery shall be coordinated with Jeff Hiedeman, 406-587-6738, a minimum of 48 hours before arrival to arrange delivery and unloading. Delivery arrangements can be made Monday through Friday from 0700 to 1530. No weekend or Holiday deliveries will be accepted. c. Technical Specifications a. Shop Drawings: Shop drawings are not required; fabrication will be off the included drawings, with the Forest Service notified of any inconsistencies or discrepancies. *See attached drawings for fabrication details b. Lumber: All members shall be full dimension sawn lumber, except where noted otherwise. All timber and lumber shall be Coastal Region Douglas-Fir or Southern Pine No. 1 or better, except running planks(No. 2), conforming to current WWPA, WCLIB, or SPIB grading rules. Inland Douglas-Fir lumber shall not be used on this project. c. Glued Laminates: Stringers, deck panels, diaphragms, curbs and curb blocks shall be glued-laminated members, unless designated as solid sawn, of Coastal Region Douglas-Fir or Southern Pine conforming to The American Institute of Timber Construction(AITC) 117-0 and shall be manufactured for wet condition use and industrial appearance.
