- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Responses to this sources sought must be in writing. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential small businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name, (b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax and email (e) DUNS number (f) type of small business, e.g, Veteran owned (g) a capability statement or product specifications and shop drawings that addresses qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below The Amarillo VA Health Care System is currently seeking a contractor who is able to provide all management, laboratory testing, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and labor to develop and implement an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) plan for the interior and exterior of the Amarillo VA Health Care System, Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center, Amarillo, Texas 79106, in a manner that ensures the health and general well-being of patients, staff, and visitors. All infestations will need to be addressed until elimination of pests is complete. Services shall include but not be limited to an assessment of appropriate engineering controls, perimeter, exterior, and interior treatment plan, review and inclusion of historical pest log, placement of external bait stations to prevent pest entry into buildings, timely review and removal of wasp nests, and treatment provisions to virtually eliminate flying insects at entrances. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561710 ($11 Million). All offerors who provide goods or services to the U.S. Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) located on the web at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ All interested offerors should submit their qualifications by email to: Robyn.Nussbaum@va.gov no later than March 17, 2016 at 12:00 CST. After review of the responses to this announcement, the Government intends to proceed with the issuance of a solicitation.
