Description

The Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center has a requirement for project 642-11-123, Upgrade OR Suites. This project shall require the contractor to renovate the OR Suites for the hospital. This renovation will improve the function of the current OR Suite. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, material, tools, supervision, equipment, permits, and testing. The contractor shall perform the work in accordance with the plans and specifications. Refer to the project drawings, specifications, and price schedule contained in the solicitation for details of the scope of work for this contract. This requirement is a Request for Proposal and is 100% set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Additionally, this acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR 15 Contracting by Negotiation. The magnitude of this VA construction project is estimated to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The Period of Performance will be 570 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. Solicitation documents, including scope of work, will be available electronically on or about March 29, 2016, at the following website: www.fbo.gov Interested parties can search for solicitation VA244-16-R-0580 to access solicitation documents and any amendments. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE WEBSITE FREQUENTLY AS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AMENDMENTS. Firms must be small business under relevant North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code and the must be registered and current in the following websites: https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/#1 and www.vetbiz.gov The NAICS code for this project is 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, and the small business size standard is $36.5 Million. A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held within two weeks after issuance of the solicitation. The exact date/time/location of the conference will be specified in the solicitation. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirements that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management, (SAM), database prior to award. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the Internet at. https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ Ensure your registration is correct, current and has not expired. To be considered for award all prospective offerors must be in compliance with VAAR 819.7003 and be verified for eligibility in the VIP database at www.vetbiz.gov, on the date and time proposals are due.
