Description

The National Library Services for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS/BPH), within the Library of Congress (LOC) is seeking contractors who can develop and implement a comprehensive instruction and training program for transcribing and/or proofreading technical material which thoroughly covers the Unified English Braille code technical materials which begin at Section 11 of the Rules of Unified English Braille Second Edition, 2013 and covering all sections through Section 16. This training and certification program will continue the longstanding tradition established by the Library of Congress to ensure that sufficient instruction/training continues to be available to transcribers and proofreaders and that those professional meeting an established standard are acknowledge/recognized through certification by the Library of Congress.Please see the attached DRAFT RFP for details. *NOTE: The solicitation will be released on March 25, 2015.
