Description
Justification and approval for other than full and open Training/Qualification shall be conducted Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays for up to 8 consecutive hours. Must be available 24 hours a day. Training Session-up to 8 consecutive hours.. Qualification Range Site Requirements: a) Quarterly: Facility must accommodate at least 90 shooters per quarter. b) Per Training Day: Facility must provide at least 15 shooter/lane positions per day Facility must have classrooms that can be used for lectures / instruction and to demonstrate physical actions. Shotgun training requirements: · The shotgun is a Remington 870. · The Remington 870 must be allowed to use “00” shot and slug ammunition per National · Firearms Tactical Training Unit (NFTTU) qualification requirements. · Delineated distances for shotgun are 7 yards, 15 yards and 25 yards. Rifle training requirements: · The rifle is an M-4. · The M-4 must be allowed to fire 3 round automatic fire bursts. · Delineated distances for an M-4 are 100 yards, 50 yards, 25 yards and 7 yards. Emergency Care. Range must be located within 10 miles of a trauma center – defined as a hospital equipped to handle any level of severity of trauma (gunshot), and has a trauma surgeon on-site 24/7 and an OR ready at all times for critically ill and injured patients. Storage. Facility must provide a Conex box or equivalent sized secure room for storage of ICE training equipment. Authorized range officer / instructor will be a federal law enforcement officer who has been trained and certified as an ICE firearms instructor. ICE will provide its own range officers for all firearms training. Officers must be permitted to arrive and depart the range with duty weapons loaded and ready for duty carry. Scenarios / training sessions to be conducted by an ICE Firearms Training Officer. ICE Courses of Fire for Demonstration of Proficiency must be adhered to (see ICE Firearms Policy, Appendix 2,
