Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE - Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision in accordance with construction documents, drawings and specifications to complete Project 607-15-107 - Upgrade Water Distribution/Treatment at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, Madison, WI. This project involves renovations approximately 10,000 square feet of space on Building 1 floor 3B to create a new Inpatient Ward. Phasing will be required on a 2 x 2 room basis to coordinate with the floor below. Furthermore, minor modifications will be required above the ceiling in the floor below (an existing psychiatric ward) to existing utilities. The ceiling construction will be required to be patched to match existing conditions. Work includes, but is not limited to: demolition; plumbing, hazardous material removal and minor electrical. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOpps. There will be a pre-bid conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid conference will be included in the solicitation package. This solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms. The solicitation will be issued on or about 6 April 2016 with the bid opening on or about 10 May 2016. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $36.5 Million applies. Time for completion is 730 calendar days after Notice to Proceed.
