Description

The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Contracting Office intends to professional calibration services for the C-40 Aircraft Support Equipment (SE) for one base year and four option years. This requirement is in support of the Navy Forces Reserve NAS JRB, Fort Worth TX. This procurement is a sole source acquisition with Calibration Specialty, Inc., Irving TX under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all proposals received within seven days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Offerors must possess a current certification from the NAVAIR METCAL office. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A firm fixed price contact will be awarded as a result of this quotation. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Commercial type clauses in FAR Part 12 will be included in the RFQ, and a shorter solicitation period will be implemented per FAR 5.203(c). Central Contractor Registration is required for all vendors doing business with DOD and can be obtained at www.SAM.gov.
