This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Veteran Owned Small Businesses, 8(a), Hub-Zone and other Small Businesses interested and capable of providing items requested, as well as any large businesses. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax, and email (e) DUNS number (f) Cage Code (g) Tax ID Number (h) Type of small business, e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned small Business, Veteran-owned small business, 8(a), HUB-Zone, Women Owned Small Business, Small disadvantaged business, or Small Business HUB-Zone business and (i) must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below. Description: The Government is interested in gaining knowledge of potential businesses that would be able to distribute or manufacture ArcCheck Radiation Therapy Quality Assurance Test Instrument used to measure Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) and Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) treatment plans. The Seattle VAMC current has Sun Nuclear MapCHECK system and are looking to upgrade. BRAND NAME OR EQUAL Brand Name: Sun Nuclear ArcCHECK Package Part # Description QTY 1220000-PM: ArcCHECK Package MultiPlug - Package for VMAT and IMRT and 3DVH Software Salient Characteristics: - Provide a 4D array patient plan QA - Patient Dose and Dose Volume Histogram Analysis - Interior cavity of unit allows and wide range of detector and inhomogeneity inserts - SunPoint diode detectors or similar that provides small size, high sensitivity and proven stability - Consistent Beams Eye View for all gantry angles measuring entrance and exit dose - Real-time electrometer measures every pulse, as well as composite and sub-arcs - MultiPlug detector insert including: Hounsfield Unit conversion testing, Tissue equivalent inserts, dose up to 25 locations, bezel angle indicator for rotation within the cavity. - Dose and DVH QA - 3DVH software for full 3D Dose reconstruction for target and QAR DVH QA - Machine QA Analysis including: Dynamic Gantry Rotation QA, Dynamic Gantry Angle QA, Dynamic Gantry Speed QA, Dynamic Symmetry and Flatness, MCL QA, Treatment Reproducibility QA - Must be compatible with VMAT and IMRT - Must be Windows 7 - SP1 and LDAP compatible - Must be compatible with McAfee Anti-virus software - Must provide training and support for a minimum of one year In the response, please state whether the manufacturer of the items is a small business or a large business. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334519 (size standard to be considered small business is 500 employees).
