- The US Forest Service is conducting Market Research to identify potential small business firms having the interest, resources and capability to support a requirement for consructing improvements to a total of four (4) trailheads associated with the Ohmer Creek Trail (at Snake Ridge Road, Mitkof Highway, and Woodpecker Cove Road sites) and furnishing and installing a kisosk and gravel pad at the Woodpecker Cove Road North Trailhead. The trailhead improvements include parking area and aggregate trail construction, landscape boulders, signs and other miscellaneous work. Ohmer Creek Trail is located near Petersburg Alaska. This is a request for information only and does not constitute a request for proposals or a request for quotations. The results of this market reserch will assist the contracting officer in determinining the method of procurement and whether a small business set aside is appropriate. The order of magnitude for the work is estimated between $100,000 and $150,000. Work will be performed during the 2016 season and the required period of performance is estimated not to exceed 90 days. If your firm has the potential capacity and capability to perform this work, you are invited to respond to this notice with the following information: 1. One (1) - two (2) page capabiity statement Based on responses to this notice and any other market research performed by the Government, this requirement may be set aside for small business, HUBZone, or any other appropriate small business category.
