Description
Pre-Bid Site Visit Registration Form Specifications Technical Plans Solicitation W912P516B0003 The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers anticipates a requirement for a firm fixed price service contract for Wash Down Pump and Gate Spray Pump Replacement for Wheeler Lock. Wheeler Lock is located in Lauderdale County, Florence, Alabama. The work shall consist of activities which involve removing the existing equipment, piping, handrails, security fence, soil, and concrete as needed for the installation of new equipment. New equipment to be installed includes the piping system, valves, pumps, pump platform, handrail, and security fence. It also includes the concrete removal and concrete placement. In addition to features described above, the Contractor shall furnish all equipment, materials, methods, labor and perform all operations required for the installation of the control system for Wheeler Lock. Installation will include wire and cable, conduit, power and control systems, and associated equipment for a complete functioning raw water system. The contractor shall install new vertical turbine pumps and be responsible for the design and installation of a pump platform, bumpers, and connections. Line shaft vertical turbine pumps shall be constructed in accordance with AWWA E101 and NFPA 20 standards except as modified. A site visit is scheduled for Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. Central Daylight Savings Time (CDT). See the solictation for meeting location and site visit registration requirements.
