Description
This sources sought announcement is for information and planning purposes only; it is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. A contract may not be awarded as a result of this sources sought announcement. The U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Directorate of Standards and Guidance through their Office of Regulatory Analysis and Paperwork Reduction offices require access to the wide array of chemical classifications, and the vast, comprehensive collection of information on the economics of the chemical industry to use for economic data to support rulemaking and standards activities. This data is relied on to support key functions of OSHA/DSG in its development of occupational safety standards and guidance material. This information shall provide a necessary overview of chemical products flow and the impact products have in downstream industry use. Contractor shall provide up-to-date data on production, sales, and downstream use of a diverse range of chemicals. These data enables OSHA/DSG to accurately profile recent industrial use of these products, including potential hazards associated with an employee's contact with these chemicals. Interested businesses in NAICS code 519130 with a size standard of 500 employees; and NAICS code 519190 with a size standard of $25.5 million are encouraged to submit their capability packages. The capability package for this sources sought is not expected to be a proposal, but rather statements regarding the company's existing experience in relation to the areas specified above. Capability packages must not exceed 15 pages and must be submitted electronically. Small business concerns are encouraged to respond. In addition, the following question must be answered and elaborated on as part of the package: 1). Past Performance-Does your firm have the relevant past performances within the last three years; similar in nature, scope, complexity, and difficulty of the work as described above? (Please include contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement, point of contacts, and a brief description of the work performed). Contractors are responsible for all costs for submitting their capability packages. The POC for this sources sought is Stacy Conaway. All capabilities packages must be emailed to the POC before the closing date/time of this notice at Conaway.stacy@dol.gov. The government will not be responding to questions at this time.
