Description
RFI Documents This announcement is posted as a Request for information (RFI) only. This RFI is being issued to determine whether or not there are qualified Small Business that will be able to meet the requirements for various type of less lethal munitions. The contractor shall provide large quantities of various types of less lethal munitions (LLM) to one hundred twenty two (122) Bureau's locations throughout the contiguous United States, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, on as needed basis. This RFI will allow Bureau to incorporate industry input into the initial stages of the procurement. Note: RFI responses will NOT be shared with other industry suppliers and will solely be used as part of the procurement planning process. Disclaimer The following requested information to be provided is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Any contract that might be awarded based on information received or derived from this RFI will be the outcome of a competitive process. What should be included in your response: • Do submit comments that address the Government's requirements, assumptions, conditions, or contemplated approaches. • Do submit information and suggestions that may encourage new, different or innovative approaches that would result in direct cost savings to the Government. What should not be included in your response: • Do not submit proposals or offers. • Do not submit capability statements, white papers, or other company marketing materials. • Do not submit requests to be considered for award or to be notified of a future solicitation. • Do not submit requests to be added to a mailing or distribution list. • Do not submit questions or comments not related to this RFI. • Do not respond via telephone Any information received will become the property of the Government and will not be returned to the submitter. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. To aid the Bureau, please segregate any proprietary information. HOW TO RESPOND Please submit your response to this Sources Sought/RFI via email to lfaytaren@bop.gov with the words Less Lethal Munitions RFI Response" in the email subject line. The closing time for responses is 2:00 P.M. ET on April 29, 2016.
