Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for the repair/rebuild of a Worthington VTE Hydraulic Pump VTE 0.5X4 Reciprocating Pump. The services provided by Cummings-Wagner Company Inc.-Annapolis Junction will be to repair/rebuild a Worthington VTE Hydraulic Pump VTE 0.5X4 Reciprocating Pump. The NAICS code is 811310 and the business size is $7500000. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Cummings-Wagner Company, Inc.-Annapolis Junction. The proposed action is for services to repair/rebuild a Worthington VTE Hydraulic Pump VTE 0.5X4 Reciprocating Pump for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: Cummings-Wagner Company Inc.-Annapolis Junction has been designated by Flowserve Solutions Group, who bought Worthington Pumps and now owns the original proprietary drawings and specifications for the pump, as the only authorized vendor to perform maintenance and repairs to the Worthington Pumps. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to Cummings-Wagner Company Inc. using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 12 May 2016. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 05/12/2016, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries should be directed to Kellie Holley at kellie.holley@navy.mil.
