- This announcement serves as a Sources Sought Synopsis issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 for an upcoming acquisition at the United States Air Force Academy. This sources sought is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. For the purpose of this acquisition, the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 333318, Other Commercial and Service Industry Machinery Manufacturing and the size standard in number of employees is 500. The purpose of this notice is to identify companies capable and qualified to provide a Laboratory Water Purification System with the stated specifications to the United States Air Force Academy. All businesses capable of providing the Laboratory Water Purification System are invited to respond. Interested small business vendors must reference their 8(a), HubZone, Woman-Owned or Service Disabled Veteran status, if applicable. This will be a Brand Name or equal acquisition and a firm fixed price contract is anticipated to be awarded. The Laboratory Water Purification System to maintain Type 1 Clinical Reagent Grade Water (CLRW) Item No.0001 (1 each): ELIX 100 (EMD Millipore Water system)-Brand Name or Equal Salient Characteristics for Water Purification System for Laboratory use to maintain type 1 Clinical Reagent Reverse Osmosis, Electrodeionization, Mixed-Bed ION-Exchange Product Water In-Line UV Light Water Purification System Provide Type 1 Clinical Reagent Grade Water (CLRW) quality directly from Tap Water at least 100 Liters per hour, per day. Meet Accreditation Requirements Listed in Performance Criteria to Instruments and for preparing Reagents. >10 MEGOHMS-CM <30 PPB TOC <10 CFU/ML Bacteria. Be able to directly feed 10 Diemens Centaur XP Analyzers Have Additional Output so Water can be collected in various containers from 100ml to 8 Liters at 2 Liters per hour 350 Liter Storage Reservoir with Distribution System Be able to be maintained by onsite Lab Technicians to replace filter cartridges. Backup Emergency By-Pass Function if Main System goes doe that provides 24-48 hours of operation. Dimensions: Approximately-28.9x26.1x17.4 inches Electrical Spec: 120VAC All potential offerors are reminded, in accordance with FAR 52.212-4(t) (4), System for Award Management (SAM), lack of registration in SAM will make an offeror ineligible for contract award. Offerors and Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via SAM accessed through https://www.acquisition.gov. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. Delivery is FOB Destination to: 711th HPW, Wright-Pat Labs, 2510 Fifth Street, B840, and Area B Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433 The specifications for this requirement are included. Comments and/or suggestions on the specifications are encouraged and can be included in your capabilities package. Interested businesses shall provide the following information: 1. Company Name, mailing address, cage code, DUNS number, point of contact, telephone number and email address. 2.Business Size Status, e.g., 8(a0, HUBZone, Woman Owned or Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, small business, large business, etc. 3.Appropriate written information and /or data supporting your capability to provide the Laboratory Water Purification System. 4.Answer to the following questions: a.Have you provided this item in the past? b.Are you a manufacturer or supplier of the item? Buy America compliant? c.What is your lead-time for delivery? d.What are your payment/discount terms? e.If you require different terms and conditions than those normally used by the Government, what are your commercial terms and conditions? Feel free to provide a copy of your terms and conditions for this type of work. This notice is designed to locate responsible sources that have an interest, and the ability to supply the item described herein. If your firm is capable and qualified to provide a Laboratory Water Purification System that meet the salient characteristics, send the required response to the primary point of contact indicated within this announcement.
