Description
This Small Business Sources Sought Notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for Market Research. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business or HUBZone small businesses capable of providing Knockin of IRES cre into the Rgs7 Gene in a Mouse. The National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive Diseases, and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has a requirement to generate a Rgs7 promoter-driven Cre recombinase-expressing knock-in custom mouse model. This custom mouse model will enable the conditional modification and expression of genes within Rgs7-expressing neurons of the central and peripheral nervous system and in neuroendocrine cells, and allow in depth study of G protein signaling pathways and regulation in those cells. This includes in particular G protein signaling regulated by the R7bp/G beta5/R7-RGS protein complex. Custom mouse containing knock-in of IRES-cre into the Rgs7 Gene, and after ubiquitous Flp breeding to remove neo cassette, must be available within 40 weeks after contract completed and accepted by both parties, and project initiated. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 541711 with a size standard of 500.
