Description
THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET-ASIDE. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 23 VA Midwest Healthcare Network, Network Contracting Office (NCO 23) on behalf of the Minneapolis VA Healthcare System intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to award a single, firm-fixed-price contract for general construction. This project entitled "Upgrade Cath Lab 1", Project No. 618-CSI-145 is located at the Minneapolis VAMC in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation and FAR Part 36, Construction. Proposals will be evaluated utilizing procedures described in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set Aside. Award of this project shall be in accordance with Public Law (PL) 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Health Care and Information Technology Act of 2006. The NAICS Code is 236220 with an applicable small business size standard of $36.5 million. The "Magnitude of the Construction Project" is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The anticipated duration of construction will be published within the solicitation. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and construction services necessary to remodel Cath Lab No. 1 and replace the existing Cardiac X-ray equipment. Work includes both demolition and new construction. The solicitation documents, including specifications and drawings, will be issued NOT earlier than May 15, 2016. Proposals are due 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. A site visit will be scheduled and specific information for the site visit will be announced upon solicitation issuance. This special notice is for informational purposes only, is not a request for proposals, and does not obligate the Government to take further action. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. A list of proposers will NOT be maintained. Specifications and Drawings will be available at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (http://www.sam.gov) which includes the completion of online Representations and Certifications at (http://www.sam.gov). Bidders must be registered in VetBiz at http://www.vetbiz.gov/ and Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through the Federal Business Opportunities web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. A list of interested vendors will NOT be maintained.
