- Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to solicit and negotiate a contract to KBA Nota-Sys, Inc. on a sole source basis. The BEP has a requirement for spare parts critical to the operation of the Large Examining Printing Equipment (LEPE). These critical parts are proprietary and obtainable from KBA Nota-Sys, Inc. only. The critical parts are: MAP1835:CAM, Complete Combined with holding and bearing ring, Lower Shaft MAP1834: CAM, Complete Combined with holding and bearing ring, Upper Shaft This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their capability. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the U.S. Government. Responses to this notice shall be received by May 23, 2016, 9:00 AM EST. All responses must be via email to the point of contact(s) in this notice. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
